Design:
As a progression of Vincent's design style, Rift is a bookcase with a strong abstract traditional feel. The breaks or 'rifts' in the otherwise continuous curve on the right side of the piece are a new design element first appearing in this piece, giving it its name. And while Rift has considerable secondary movement, the overall form is very vertical, moving your eyes from its feet all the way to the crowning top.
At 89 inches tall, this large bookcase is very functional and particularly stunning. It is especially well suited for large rooms or spaces with ample viewing distance. The abundance of shelf space makes it a perfect piece of functional art to live and interact with.
Construction:
Like all Dust pieces, Rift is made from high quality domestic birch panels with a sustainable wood fiber core. The piece is finished with vibrant, high quality & envinronmentally friendly paints. The piece is then hand-distressed & coated with an industrial quality clear coat. Features leveling feet to give the piece a solid stand on uneven floors.
